Appointments at Pollokshaws Medical Centre

As you may have noticed the practice is continuing to work differently than it did pre-Covid. Due to increasing demands it is impossible to return to the appointment system we had prior to the pandemic.

Routine appointments can be made with our Practice Nurses for any of the above clinics by calling 0141 620 4310

You may also be invited by letter to attend these clinics and others that may run.

Our Health Visitor deals with Child Health Issues and our Midwife and GPs with maternity care.

Family Planning

Family planning advice can be obtained at an ordinary surgery appointment.

Pill Checks

For patients on oral contraceptives (the pill) an annual review needs to be performed. This involves a blood pressure check and review of your medication. This review is carried out by one of our nurses. In between these reviews, you can request a repeat prescription of your pill in the usual way.

Emergency Contraception(morning after pill).

It is important that if you are needing this you take it as soon as possible so please phone the surgery and tell the receptionist that this is what you need and she will organise for a doctor or nurse to speak to you when available.
